Hi,
For me, writing is almost a compulsion. I’ve had the urge to do it from a very early age – I clearly remember scrawling on a teddy bear as a toddler – and, from then on, I would scribble down anything I could whenever a pen and paper found their way into my hands.
My first forays into writing novels took place in my teens. Most of those attempts, together with a few short stories and some juvenile poetry, ended up in the bin! I persevered though, and I independently published my debut novel The Daylight Thief in November 2015. My second novel The Man Who Found Treasure was published in October 2019.
My other passions include Nottingham Forest FC… and history. I hope that the blog posts within these pages can communicate the buzz I get when I am standing in the places where history happened.
My fiction also draws on this love of the past – particularly our proximity and debt to it – and my fascination with how the unexceptional and mundane can sometimes become exceptional and unique.
Thank you for visiting… and enjoy the read!
